This isn't left versus right. It's working people versus concentrated power.

I've spent thirteen years on the floor at Hydro, and I've watched the same fights play out no matter who's in charge: the people doing the work get squeezed, and the people writing the rules don't feel it.

Safety rules are written in blood — every one of them exists because someone got hurt before anyone thought to write it down. Too many of the people who write them for a living have never once been the ones at risk.

I fight for the working man, because that's what I am, and that's who I care about.

What I'm running on

The 99% vs. the 1%

Property taxes

Rising property taxes are squeezing working families and homeowners across District 18. Relief has to start with the people who actually live here.

Data centers

Big out-of-state developments shouldn't get a free pass on the backs of local ratepayers and land. Growth should work for Yankton County, not around it.

The economy

South Dakotans are worried about the cost of living first. That means real wages, real jobs, and real protections for the people who show up and do the work.

Worker protections

Safety rules are written in blood — and dismantled by greed. I'll stand against rolling back the protections it took real injuries to win.

Jarod Holcomb has worked in the casthouse at Hydro in Yankton County for thirteen years. He's a homeowner in the district he's running to represent, Treasurer of the Yankton County Democrats, and a board member at Pathways, a local homeless shelter.
